This is one of our favourite Chardonnay vineyards.  Planted in 1988, it is the vineyard that sits above our winery and cellar door at Merricks. This Lyre trellised, east facing block has a consistent thread of character that is always a lovely balance of fruit power and savouriness.

A new wine for Stonier, blended from three vineyards on Thompsons Lane, including the 1978 Chardonnay planting by Brian Stonier.  A slightly higher elevation than our other Chardonnay vineyards giving a more prominent acid line.

A vineyard that the Drummond family have leased since 2010, this site will be an important long term Stonier vineyard hence the confidence to make a Single Vineyard. It is a very special, albeit small, site. All volcanic soil and north facing but high elevation and a cool pocket. Racing acidity and definitely the most lemon-shebert of the vineyards. 

A wine of poise, power and sophistication, the Reserve Chardonnay represents a blend of our most significant Chardonnay vineyards, predominantly KBS Block alongside the Evie Block, both located in the cooler southern half of the Mornington Peninsula and each displaying easterly dispositions. 

A new wine for Stonier made from the Gance and Stonier vineyards on Thompsons Lane, Merricks. The Gance vineyard is north facing and a powerful site that produces wine with great tannin maturity. 20% wholebunch.

This vinetage is 40% whole bunch.  Naturally a spicy and more savoury site and definitely a producer of natural prominent tannins.

Sourced from grower vineyards located on the cool, Southern side of the Mornington Peninsula, our Stonier Chardonnay walks that perfect line between abundance of flavour and the vitality of cool climate acidity. With a deeply mineral and moreish palate, this much adored wine consistently over delivers. 

A blend of our Southern Peninsula grower vineyards, this iteration speaks of the balance and enjoyment that great Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir can deliver. The typical variatel aromas of wild strawberry and foraged pine mushrooms are prevalent, but the palate is where the wine shines brightest.
